My name is Emily W. Kincke and welcome to Simply Kincke (kĭnk’y). The answer to your burning question, “How do you pronounce your last name?” has been incorporated in my business name, “Kinky.” I love being able to put a smile on people’s faces just by saying my name. How many people can do that?!
Photography is who I have become and who I want to be. I began taking photographs as a child with my mother’s Pentax. I have not once stopped.
Being a photographer and having a great love for crafts, it made sense to combine these two passions. I started scrapbooking about 6 years ago in preparation for my wedding. My husband and I are both memorabilia fanatics who keep everything from everywhere. So I have boxes and files full of matchbooks, airplane tickets, brochures from places we have gone together, and of course photographs. These many “Firsts” gave me the idea to create a beginning scrapbook of our life before the engagement, during, and right up to the wedding. It looked great on our Guest Book table and helped show our friends and family the life that he and I have shared so far.
It was very well received, so I continued on this path of creative ideas. I sorted and organized my family’s photographs, placed them in photo albums, and then created some scrapbook albums. Now I would like to help others with their photography needs, organizational troubles, and creative idea blocks.
Please contact me and I will be happy to assist you and answer your needs whatever they may be.
I also organize a local scrapbooking group to gather friends together called Scrappin’ In The Streetcar. If you’re local to the New Orleans area, please check it out at http://www.meetup.com/scrappin-in-the-streetcar and feel free to join us for an event.
